High winds blew through central Indiana Saturday

A windy day for central Indiana Saturday.  The winds started to gust around 11am and blew with force for nine straight hours.

There were many reports of trees, limbs, signs and power lines coming down by late afternoon.

The highest wind gust reported was near hurricane force in Straughn, Indiana (Henry County) at 71mph.  Much of the state had gusts 53-60mph.  Here’s a look at gusts reported around the area.
