INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis firefighters got some spur-of-the-moment high angle ropes training this weekend after an IMPD drone got stuck on top of a construction crane downtown.

According to a Facebook post from the Indianapolis Fire Department, one IFD crew was called by IMPD Logistics around 10:15 a.m. Saturday asking for help retrieving an errant drone that became stuck on top of a construction crane in the heart of the city.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University police are searching for a suspect who reportedly stole an Xbox, several controllers, debit cards, driver’s licenses and cash from an IU dorm room.

According to an IU Bloomington crime notice sent Saturday, IUPD officers received reports this week of three burglaries where four separate victims said an unknown suspect “illegally entered their unlocked rooms” and stole valuables.

MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Police in Mooresville are asking the public to stay vigilant and come forward with any information regarding a string of overnight car break-ins.

According to a Facebook post from the Mooresville Police Department, officers are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred between 10 p.m. Sunday night and 7 a.m. Monday throughout the town.

Leyba-Gonzalez is accused of killing three people in a high-speed crash after a police chase this week in Indianapolis.

ISP Superintendent Douglas Carter wasn’t mincing words in a scathing sit-down interview with FOX59/CBS4’s Jenny Dreasler Friday afternoon.

Carter says he’s outraged at the low bond set by Marion County Judge Jennifer Harrison.

“Damn it, this is not ok. I am just so tired and so sick of it,” said Carter. “What we’re doing is not working and we need to talk about it and get uncomfortable.”

INDIANAPOLIS – An OSHA investigation is underway after a man died in an industrial accident near IU Health Methodist Hospital Saturday morning on Indy’s near north side.

Police say they were called to the intersection of West 16th and North Senate Avenue around 4:45 a.m. on the report of a beam collapse.

Police say a man died as a result of the accident.
