INDIANAPOLIS – The new high school football season officially kicked off on fields all across the state on Friday night.

Two of the three reigning state champions from central Indiana hosted games in week one. 3A champs Bishop Chatard took on Brebeuf Jesuit, while 1A winners Lutheran faced Beech Grove.
