What did you expect?
After shooting a dismal 7-for-29 (24%) in the first half, the Irish offense came alive, going for 16-for-28 (57%) in the second en route to a 61-56 win over Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
V.J. Beachem led the Irish (24-11) with 19 points, while Zach Auguste recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
With the win, Notre Dame is in the NCAA Elite Eight for the second season in a row, the first time the program has accomplished that feat since 1978-79. The Irish await the winner of the #1 UNC vs #5 Indiana matchup in the national quarterfinals.
