BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (April 17, 2016) – A woman reported being raped by two men while walking home from the Little 500 concert at Memorial Stadium Friday.
The woman, 20, told Bloomington police officers the sexual assaults happened sometime after 11 p.m. near the intersection of 14th and Dunn streets.
The woman told police she had been at the Little 500 Flosstradamus concert with friends. When the concert ended, she became separated from her friends and her phone was dying, so she decided to walk home alone.
According to police, the woman began walking toward her home on North College Avenue when two men approached her.
She described the two men as white, of average build and in their early 20’s. She described one of the men as blond and wearing a navy Pacers jersey and possibly jeans and the second man as having brown hair and wearing a red shirt and jeans.
Police say the woman asked the men if she could borrow one of their phones to call for an Uber to take her home and the men brought her to their nearby apartment to borrow a phone.
According to the report, both men sexually assaulted the woman inside the apartment. The woman told police the men wore condoms.
Police say the alleged rapists let the woman go.
The woman walked home and called police shortly after. Officers say she did not go to the hospital for a sexual assault trauma kit, likely because the two men had used condoms.
The woman made the distinction in the report that she was not taken to Brownstone Apartments but said she could not remember where the men took her.
Police are still investigating. They have no suspects at this time.
Another woman reported being raped in Bloomington Sunday.
