INDIANAPOLIS (April 20, 2015) – A woman died after stepping in front of a dump truck on I-465 on the north side Monday morning, bringing traffic to a crawl in the area.

The incident happened just after 10 a.m. on I-465 westbound near mile marker 32.6. Indiana State Police responded to the scene and called for lane restrictions that slowed traffic. Lanes reopened around 12:40 p.m.

According to Myers, the woman was standing on the emergency shoulder next to her car when she ran into the path of the truck. The woman was identified as Emily Meyers, 24, of Carmel.
