Weather causes poor driving conditions

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 4, 2015) –Indiana State Police are working several crashes on the interstates due to slick conditions brought on by weather.

Troopers from the Putnamville State Police Post responded to a majority of calls on Interstate 70 in Vigo, Clay and Putnam Counties and State Road 63 and Interstate 74 in Vermillion County.

The cold weather, snow and drizzle from Sunday afternoon contributed to slick roads all over central Indiana.

Dangerous roads caused several vehicles to slide off road ways as well as crashes with injuries.

State Police responded to a seven vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of I-70 in Putnam County.

One driver, Ronda Marsh, 42 of Terre Haute was ejected from her vehicle and taken to Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis for treatments to leg and internal injuries.
