(March 11, 2015) – A waiter in Wichita, Kansas has a reason to smile thanks to a very generous tip.

Brian Maixner laughs and smiles all day regardless of the damage to his grin. He was suffering from severe dental decay.

One day a lawyer visited the diner and saw something special in Brian. “He carried himself with such kindness and confidence with a mouth that looked painful. I was struck by that,” Fred Boettcher, an attorney from Ponca City, Oklahoma told KWCH.

Boettcher decided to help Brian out by paying to fix the damage done to his mouth. Brian broke down in tears when he heard the offer.

Brian made several trips down to Ponca City to visit Boettcher’s dentist who performed several thousand dollars’ worth of work.

Boettcher told KWCH that he’s fortunate enough to be able to give big gifts, but he wants everyone to offer kindness in the amount they can afford.

“No matter what religion you might be or whether you even believe in an afterlife the way to be satisfied in your life is to be kind to everybody and be as generous as you possibly can be,” Boettcher said.
