WASHINTON D.C.  (March 18, 2016) – Join us in welcoming a new baby eaglet to the world!

The eaglet was born live on an Eagle Cam Friday morning around 8:30 eastern time, according to the American Eagle Foundation.

Since February, people from around the world have watched the Eagle Cam, featuring the nest of the eaglet’s parents, appropriately named “Mr. President” and “The First Lady.” The nest is located in the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington D.C.

The second egg is expected to hatch sometime this weekend. You can catch all the action at atdceaglecam.eagles.org
