Charles Dearringer pleaded guilty to resisting law enforcement on April 11, 2017. His other charges were dismissed. He was sentence to 910 days in Community Corrections.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Some IMPD officers got a fast start to their Sunday.

At around 9 a.m., officers were involved in a high speed pursuit on S. Keystone Ave. by the University of Indianapolis.

The chase ended with the suspect hitting a pole at the intersection of Keystone and National.

A fire hydrant was also damaged in the crash.

Metro Police initially responded to a “trouble with a person” call in the 5300 block of East Thompson Road shortly before 8:30 a.m.

Police arrested 36-year-old Charles Dearringer on charges of criminal recklessness and resisting law enforcement.
