Son in critical condition after near southwest side shooting, father in custody

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police responded to a shooting Thursday evening on the near southwest side of Indianapolis.

Officers were called to the scene in the 3500 block of West Morris Street around 7:45 p.m.

The victim is in critical condition and was taken to Eskenazi Health. Police say the victim’s father shot him. The father was taken into custody.

No other details were immediately released.
