Two people hurt after SUV, small bus collide

INDIANAPOLIS (May 12, 2015) – Emergency crews were on scene Tuesday morning after an SUV and small bus collided on the west side of Indianapolis.

The crash happened at West McCarty Street and Girls School Road around 7:30 a.m. The Wayne Township Fire Department said two people were trapped and had to be extricated. It took about 15 minutes to get them free.

The bus belonged to Active Day Senior Daycare; the driver and two passengers were on board. The crash brought about 20 fire and rescue personnel to the scene.

Both drivers went to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
