BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (January 19, 2016) – Two Brown County deputies were hospitalized following a car accident.

Around 1:30 p.m., two officers were responding to report of small child struck at IGA grocery store in Nashville. The deputies were advised to disregard because the child was fine.

Then a pickup driven by Lt. Brad Stogsdill rear-ended an SUV driven by Deputy Scott Bowling. Bowling’s SUV went down an embankment and into a wooded area. The accident happened on SR 46 about 1 mile east of Nashville.

Both deputies were taken to Columbus Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Lt. Stogsdill has since been released, and Deputy Bowling is still being checked out.

ISP is also investigating the accident.
