INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 28, 2015) – A vehicle fire closed eastbound I-70 on the west side of Indianapolis Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. on I-70 near Holt Road at mile 76.5. Indiana State Police said there were no injuries.

Traffic was getting around on the shoulder. Drivers were advised to take alternate routes such as Washington Street or the Sam Jones Expressway. Traffic in the westbound lanes was also slow.
