PETERSBURG, Ind. — Authorities say six teenagers were injured in a crash involving two off-road vehicles in southwestern Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says two of the six teens were hospitalized following the crash Saturday in Pike County.

Conservation officers say in a statement that the four-wheelers collided when one of the vehicles slowed down and driver of the other ORV rear-ended it. The DNR says the teenagers were ages 13 to 15 and they weren’t wearing helmets or safety gear.

The DNR says one of the hospitalized teens had head and arm injuries. The other had scrapes and a wrist injury.
