Simona De Silvestro’s car goes up in flames during practice at IMS

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 12, 2015) – Simona De Silvestro’s car went up in flames Tuesday during practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Her engine apparently caught fire.

Silvestro was uninjured, but she told media after the incident that she was disappointed about the setback.

The 26-year-old is a Swiss race car driver, and she currently drives for Andretti Autosport in the Indycar Series.
