Shane Nguyen, 55-year-old male missing from Fort Wayne

UPDATE (April 27, 2021): The Silver Alert issued for Shane Van Nguyen, 55, of Fort Wayne was canceled after authorities found his body inside of a crashed vehicle. 

According to WANE, Nguyen was found in the 1500 block of Forest Park Boulevard following a police pursuit which ended when the vehicle crashed. The Allen County Coroner’s Office determined Nguyen died from blunt force injury of the head.

The Fort Wayne Police Department said three suspects wanted in connection with the pursuit, crash and homicide investigation had been arrested by 7:45 p.m. Monday.

The incident is under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, IN — A Statewide Silver Alert has been declared.

The Purdue University Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Shane Nguyen, a 55 year old Asian male.

Nguyen is described as 5’6 inches tall, weighing 142 pounds with black hair with brown eyes.

He is reported to be missing from Fort Wayne, Indiana which is 126 miles north east of Indianapolis, and was last seen on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm driving a black 2013 Honda Odyssey Van with Indiana license plate VSU544.

He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
