Silver Alert canceled for Vermillion County woman

UPDATE: The Silver Alert was canceled at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday. State Police confirmed she was alive, but did not release any other details.

CLINTON, Ind. (July 15, 2015) – A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Vermillion County woman.

Tammy L. Oaks, 46, was last seen Tuesday around 11:30 a.m. near State Road 63 in Vermillion County. The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department said Oaks is believed to be in danger.

Oaks, 5’6”, 145 pounds, has brown-gray hair and green eyes. She has a cigar-shaped birthmark on her left inner arm and was last known to be wearing shorts and sandals.

She was driving a 2008 dark blue Dodge Caravan with Indiana plate 328AWJ, police said.
