Shooting on Indy’s northeast side leaves 15-year-old boy dead

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a teenage boy was killed in a shooting Tuesday evening.

The IMPD said the shooting happened just after 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 9800 block of Ellis Drive. When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.

The boy was transported to Riley Hospital in critical condition where he later died.

On Wednesday, the boy was identified as Keleante Brewer.
