INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting on Indy’s north side Tuesday evening left one man dead and another wounded.
Indianapolis Metropolis Police Department officers responded to the Wendy’s on East 86th Street in Nora around 7:30 p.m, where they found a man with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and shortly after arrival he was pronounced dead.
Around 8 p.m., another man walked into a different hospital with a gunshot wound. The man was in serious but stable condition.
IMPD said the two shootings are related.
An initial investigation into the shooting indicates the shooting happened inside a car at a different location and the man jumped out of the passenger side of the car at a Wendy’s location. Police believe the other man drove away from the scene before getting out and eventually making his way to the hospital.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 24-year-old Tavon Bickham.
