EDINBURGH, Ind.– A semi crashed into a home in Edinburgh Monday, police say.

It happened this afternoon at the Toner Square and North Grant Street intersection, east of Irwin Park.

Photos from the scene showed the cab of the semi entirely into the home, which police say was vacant at the time of the crash.

The driver, a 62-year-old man, passed out behind the wheel before the crash, authorities say. He was alert while being extricated.

The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
