Home pricing is important for anyone who is selling a home or trying to buy a home at the right price. Beenu Sikand, a trusted advisor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty, shares how she helps local clients and international investors coming to Indiana find insight into home value.

Sikand says there are three steps to coming up with a “for sale” price for your home.  “Location, condition and pricing are the first steps you want to take to price a home. I look at the condition of the house, then I price the house accordingly,” Sikand said. “The market tells us if we are overpriced or underpriced and we change the value accordingly.”

Working with a trusted advisor is also beneficial because they are familiar with the market, the latest trends and technology.  Sikand’s experience with new home construction helps her clients with the best price. “I am a new home specialist, so I know most of the builders, I know how to work with them and how to negotiate with them, and that is how I bring real estate value to my clients,” Sikand said.
