CARMEL, Ind. – Carmel police are investigating a crash on 96th Street that killed a man Sunday night.

Investigators believe a silver 2004 Saturn Vue driven by Robert “Bobby” Carlow, 29, of Carmel, was going eastbound on 96th Street near Wild Cherry Lane when he collided with a green 2006 Kia Sportage driven by Trina Price, 53, of Indianapolis.

The Saturn was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit the Kia, and then traveled across the roadway and hit a tree.

Carlow died on the scene. Carmel police released his identity Monday afternoon.

A portion of the road between Keystone and Westfield Boulevard was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.

Price suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Vincent Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
