INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– A woman who escaped from the custody of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office has been located.

Brittany Howell was arrested around 12:50 a.m. Thursday while trying to board a Greyhound Bus bound for Ohio. MCSO’s Criminal Division Warrant Teams made the arrest. She’s now charged with escape, a felony.

Howell, 29, fled from a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy on Tuesday. She was initially arrested on May 8 for driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without a license, which are both misdemeanor charges.

Robert Anderson, the deputy who was transporting Howell, was placed on administrative leave and an internal affairs investigation is underway.
