INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed the death of one of the two victims in a far east side shooting which took place earlier this week.
Trashawn Rose-McKinstry succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 30, five days after being transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Rose-McKinstry and one other unnamed male victim were listed in critical condition after the Nov. 25 shooting, which happened just after 4:20 a.m. in the 3100 block of Acoma Drive on Indy’s far east side, near E. 30th Street and Mitthoefer Road.
Homicide detectives responded and began canvassing the area for witnesses. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will be assisting in determining the exact manner and cause of death of the victim.
