Dispute over prostitute leads to assault on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (January 4, 2016) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police say a dispute over a prostitute led to an assault on the northeast side early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at a home in the 6200 block of Brookline Ct. near the intersection of 62nd Street and Allisonville Rd.

Police say there was an injury reported from the scene, but do not know the severity of it. Police said they believe a man was assaulted because his roommate failed to pay for a prostitute. A man showed up to collect money and targeted the wrong person, according to IMPD.
