Teenager identified as victim of Sunday night shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 17, 2016) – Police say a person was killed after being  shot in the head on the city’s near northeast side Sunday evening.

It happened in the 2000 block of East 30th Street around 5:30 p.m.

When officers arrived they found the man unresponsive, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 18-year-old Anthony Morris of Indianapolis.

EMS arrived and transported Morris to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.

It’s the third shooting incident investigated by the IMPD Homicide Branch since Friday.
