Man in critical condition after northeast side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (July 22, 2015) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police were investigating a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Barbary Lane in the area of 46th Street and Allisonville Road. Police were dispatched to the area after someone reported a person down.

Investigators said a man was in critical condition after being shot in the head. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
