Police investigate person shot on Indy’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police are searching for a suspect after a person was shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred just after 5:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of Willowood Drive, which is near the intersection of North German Church Road and 38th Street.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing. The detectives are currently on scene speaking with witnesses, trying to piece together what exactly happened. At this time there is no suspect information that IMPD can release.
