Police investigate early morning shooting on north side

INDIANAPOLIS (March 30, 2016) – IMPD officers are investigating after a person was shot on the city’s north side early Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Rookwood after receiving reports of a person shot.

When they arrived on scene, police found a man in his early twenties suffering from two gunshot wounds.

The victim told police he was walking in an alley with his friend when an unidentified subject walked up and shot him.

Police say the victim was shot once in the leg and once in the arm. He was awake and talking to officers when transported to Eskenazi.

Aggravated Assault detectives are investigating and have not released any suspect information at this time.
