Man, woman killed in shooting on east side of Indy


UPDATE (Feb. 28, 2020)– Police say this incident was ruled as self-defense.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A man and woman were found dead in a yard on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., police were called to the 1900 block of Audubon Road on a report of a person shot.

Officers arrived to find a man and woman with apparent gunshot wounds. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman has been identified as 19-year-old Madison Day. On Monday, the man was identified as David Taylor, 40.

Police say they believe some sort of disturbance occurred at the location before the shooting.

No one is in custody at this time.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
