Police investigate bank robbery in downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 26, 2015) – Indianapolis police are investigating a downtown bank robbery.

Police responded to the PNC bank at 155 East Market Street Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

The suspect showed a note to the teller demanding money. He did not indicate that he had a weapon. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to police he fled westbound from Market Street. He was wearing a red Chicago Bulls hat and a white shirt.

IMPD has a person of interest detained near 300 North Meridian Street, but no arrests have been made at this time.
