JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation.

Deputies were called to the 2900 block of Cadogan Drive in White River Township to investigate after a man was found dead inside a home.

Sheriff Doug Cox says the death was a "possible homicide."

Police said the owner of the home, a man in his 50s, was found dead. His mother found him on the floor and originally thought he'd suffered a medical emergency. However, she discovered the garage door and a door leading to the home from the garage were open.

Police said the man suffered what appeared to be wounds but wouldn't go into further detail about the injuries. Police are waiting on a search warrant and the coroner.
