LAFAYETTE, Ind. (April 11, 2016) – Lafayette police are conducting a death investigation after man’s body was found near a hotel Sunday morning.

Police identified the man as Mikel Stewart Grant, 24, Lafayette. According to Lafayette police, Grant’s body was found in the 4200 block of South Street in the grass near the south side of the Red Roof Inn around 9 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators said Grant was not a guest at the inn and there were no signs of foul play. An autopsy has been scheduled.
