INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 10, 2015) -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Mooresville Police Department and Indiana University Police Department in Indianapolis are asking for your help locating a man wanted in connection of several theft and fraud cases in central Indiana.

Police have identified the suspect as Shane Baker.

The man enters different buildings, goes into offices and steals wallets, credit cards and identifications from his victims. He then goes on a shopping spree with those cards and spends thousands of dollars, police say.

Kari Bacher says it happened to her on Tuesday while she was on lunch break at her northwest Indianapolis office building. She says the man stole her company credit card and her personal card.

"Unbeknownst to me that someone had been in our space that didn't belong there and just helped themselves," Bacher said.

Another woman, who didn't want to be identified, says the same man stole her wallet right out of her office cubicle in Carmel. She says she talked to him and he acted like he belonged there.

"He managed to spend $227 dollars at Speedway and then tried multiple places after that over $1,000," the woman said.
