Police: Autopsies find nothing conclusive in deaths of twin Richmond infants

RICHMOND, Ind. (Dec. 2, 2015) – An autopsy on two twin boys who died Monday in Richmond provided no additional insight into their deaths, police say.

Around noon Monday, emergency medical personnel and Richmond police were called to an apartment in the 200 block of North 9th Street, where they found two infants unresponsive.

The twin boys, three months old, were taken to Reid Health Care, where they were pronounced dead. Their remains were sent to Ohio’s Montgomery County for autopsies. Police said a preliminary examination by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office resulted in no clear cause of death.

Investigators are now awaiting results of a toxicology screening, which will take between six and eight weeks.

Police said the investigation into the case continues.
