Police say they’ve identified suspects in Carmel Christkindlmarkt vandalism

CARMEL, Ind. — The Carmel Police Department has identified suspects accused of vandalizing the Carmel Christkindlmarkt over the weekend.

According to police, the vandalism occurred early Sunday, Dec. 8, when the suspects entered and vandalized one of the stores at the Christkindlmarkt.

Police say the damage was significant enough to prevent the store from opening on Sunday but gave no other specifics as to what the damage or vandalism entailed.

Security cameras recorded the vandalism, prompting police to release photos from the case. Police said the suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

“The Carmel Police Department would like to thank everyone that contacted us to share information regarding this investigation,” the department said.
