GREENCASTLE, Ind.– Police arrested a man after allegedly fleeing from officers while under the influence.

Early Sunday Morning, a Greencastle police officer saw a white Ford Taurus traveling at a high rate of speed on Albin Pond Road and attempted to pull the car over.

Police say the driver fled from the officer and ended up causing damage to the car’s tires after hitting a curb. Due to the damage, the driver stopped.

Kenneth Sergent, 21, of Greencastle, had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.18, more than two times the legal limit.

Sergent was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and resisting law enforcement.
