BOONE COUNTY, Ind. – A tornado briefly touched down in Boone County and hail poured over Rushville following a storm system that moved through central Indiana late Thursday afternoon. The storm caused damage to a large barn and the roofs of homes near Lebanon, and it knocked down multiple trees.
According to a preliminary report by the National Weather Service, an EF-1 tornado touched down near Zionsville with an estimated 100 mile per hour winds.
