INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says a person was shot Saturday night on the city’s east side.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday, IMPD says they received a call about a person shot at a home in the 9100 block of Shenandoah Drive. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the home and transported one victim to the hospital in stable condition. Officials say injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The name or gender of the victim has not been released as police are still investigating this incident.

Detectives with IMPD have interviewed several witnesses and are gathering potential evidence related to the case. A motive or cause has not yet been determined.
