INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis Metropolitan police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday night.

According to IMPD, Dion Beals was arrested following the death of 18-year-old Floyd Teague V, who was shot in the head on the city’s northeast side. It happened just after 8 p.m. at a Clark gas station in the 2900 block of East 38th Street.

When police arrived at the gas station, they found Teague suffering from at least one gunshot wound and lying on the ground next to a vehicle.

Police said Beals was in the passenger seat of a white vehicle that drove by Teague’s car. According to officers, Beals fired at least one shot at Teague as he sat in the car. Officers say there were other occupants in the victim’s vehicle at the time shots were fired, but no one else was injured.

Teague was taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
