Indianapolis, Indiana (June 6, 2015) – A military family who lost their home and all of their belongings in a fire is grateful for the generosity of others including one special Colt’s player, Pat McAfee who is dedicated to helping them get back on their feet.

Army Major Chris Crawford, his wife, and seven daughters went on a shopping trip at Colts punter Pat McAfee’s expense Saturday. McAfee donated over $7,000 to the Hoosier hero and his family, to help them buy the necessities that they lost in the blaze. McAfee and Wish For Our Heroes, an organization dedicated to helping our active-duty military men and woman are helping the Crawford’s get back on their feet.

“Pat McAfee is such a good guy. He does so many things for our military members and for wish for our heroes and his own organization. He is one of the best. His heart is exactly where it needs to be and that is with helping these families when they need help,” says Erich Orrick the Vice President of Wish For Our Heroes.

The family still has to buy toiletries, food, and everyday supplies for their seven daughters. One is going away to college in a few months and now has no supplies or computer. If you would like to donate, follow the link below. You can also text America to 20222 and your donation goes directly to the family.
