Owning a dog helps toddlers develop, study says

A new study says a family dog could help your kids learn social and emotional skills.

The study was published in the journal “Pediatric Research.”

The study says owning, walking and playing with a dog could encourage your toddler’s social and emotional development.

Researchers also found toddlers who had a dog were 30% less likely to have conduct and peer problems in comparison to preschoolers from families who didn’t own dogs.
