INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 22, 2015) – A man, killed in a hit-and-run Friday night on the northwest side of Indianapolis, has been identified by his family as Michael Tyson.

Police responded to the intersection of West 56th Street and Georgetown Road in reference of a person down around 10:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found Tyson, 38, lying in the middle of the road.

According to witnesses, the victim is believed to have been struck by five different vehicles, and none of the drivers stopped to help.

Tyson's aunt, Lela Bagby, is hoping someone will come forward with information on who was driving.

"We would like some closure on this one, we really would, just like all the other families that have lost someone recently on a hit and run, a hit and run," Bagby said.

Witnesses described one of the vehicles as tan or bronze four-door sedan; unfortunately none of the witnesses could describe the other vehicles.

Anyone with information about any of the involved vehicles or drivers is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS.
