INDIANAPOLIS (October 20, 2015) – A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after two separate northeast side incidents.

First, IMPD officers responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Kenyon Ave. just after 10 p.m. Police say a neighbor reported gunshots, and told them a man was standing on the front lawn loudly calling for help. When they arrived on scene, officers found a woman shot. The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. Police tell us there was a man taken in for questioning, but no arrests have been made in this case.

A short time later, police responded to another call on the north east side. They say a man in his twenties was found dead inside a home in the 3400 block of Arthington Blvd. around 10:30 p.m. Officers tell us the victim died from apparent trauma, possibly a gunshot wound. Police say the man was found in the back room of a home they believe is his. No one else was in the house at the time. Police are continuing to investigate the details, but are calling this a homicide investigation.
