FISHERS, Ind. (February 16, 2016) – A couple of Fishers police officers made a surprise appearance at a boy’s police-themed birthday party.

Connor turned 4-years-old on Saturday. His great grandfather Lt. George Yaros was a police officer in Gary, Indiana for nearly 20 years before he was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1981. Connor chose to honor his great grandfather by having a police-themed birthday party.

Also, he showed his support for the Fishers Police Department by delivering pastries and cookies to the Fishers Police Department on the day before his birthday.

On Saturday, several Fishers officers surprised Connor at his birthday party, and they even brought him a gift.

Thank you to all the men and women who put their lives on the line and serve our communities every single day!
