Numerous cars damaged by massive pothole on SB I-65 at 71st Street

UPDATE: The pothole was fixed.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A massive pothole on the northwest side of Indianapolis damaged numerous cars Thursday morning.

At least half a dozen cars were pulled over on I-65 at 71st Street around 7:30 a.m. This is at the 124 mile marker.

Indiana State Police were on the scene protecting drivers, and Hoosier Helper arrived to assist with tire changes.

INDOT sent a maintenance crew to the area to patch the road and wrapped up around 8:30 a.m.
