NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Noblesville Fire Department is stepping up to help make a little girl’s Christmas wish come true.

Firefighters are signing two large cards to give to 2-year-old Kaydence Weaver, who’s battling cancer.

Kaydence and her sister Salem want to collect 500 cards for the holiday.

Fire officials say they heard about the girl’s wishes on CBS4 and wanted pitch in. Their goal is to have 127 firefighters sign the cards and deliver them personally.

The department is planning to deliver the cards to the girls in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, they’re encouraging others to grab an extra card and send it to the family.

“Its something that takes us literally ten seconds, that will have a big impact for these two girls,” said Cpt. Todd Estes.
