SPEEDWAY, Ind. (May 18, 2916) — Seats are sold out for the Indy 500, but you’re invited to check-out a brand new option at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The new Hulman Terrace Club is open to the public for the day on Wednesday during practice. Anyone inside IMS is encouraged check-out the new space and view of the historic oval.
The new club is located just past the exit of turn four. It has more than 1,000 22-inch stadium seats and an outside deck area. Food and drinks are sold separately.
IMS leaders say, there hasn’t been a completely new seating option there in many years, so today’s debut is exciting for them and for fans.
“What we wanted to do is, give customers a different option between a ticket in the grand stands or at $100,000 plus suite for the year, so people can come in and buy one or 5 tickets in there and use those 16 days of the year,” said IMS president Doug Boles.
All seats at IMS, including the new Hulman Terrace, are already sold out for the Indy 500 and the 500 Festival Parade seats are sold out as well.
“It’s just really a testament to how great this community is and the fans of IMS. This is really our fans, the state of Indiana, and the city of Indianapolis coming together and saying, Memorial Day Weekend, we go to the parade and we go to the race and it’s pretty neat both of them are sold out,” Boles said.
General admission tickets for the 500 are still available. Gates open at 10 a.m. for practice on Wednesday; drivers are on the track from noon until 6 p.m.
