AUSTIN, TX – An undertaker’s open letter to the unidentified driver who killed a 3-year-old boy in a hit-and-run crash is going viral.

Last week, Ethan Hernandez, 3, was walking with his parents on a cross walk when the driver of a pickup truck hit the boy and didn’t stop, according to FOX 7. Hernandex died at the children’s hospital a short time later.

Police are still trying to identify the driver of the truck.

Robert Falcon, the owner of Affordable Burial and Cremation Service, wrote an open letter to the unidentified driver of the truck.

Falcon described the lead up to the boy’s funeral in the post, including dressing him in a little black suit for his service and his parents weeping when they saw him for the first time.

“I want you to see these pictures and I want you to know how much it pains me to know that you would run over a child and not stop to render aid,” Falcon wrote. “What a careless act. I had to listen to a mother and father cry and bargain with God today because you took their son from them.”
